The Auburn University at Montgomery Center for Government & Public Affairs and Center for Advanced Technologies will present the 2010 Innovative Alabama Governments Awards at a reception Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Alabama Activity Center. These 5th annual awards recognize innovative projects from around the State of Alabama and honor one program from each of the following categories:
  • Government Program Innovation: State/Regional
  • Government Program Innovation: Local/County
  • Digital Government Innovation: State/Regional
  • Digital Government Innovation: Local/County
The 2010 Innovative Alabama Governments Awards will recognize innovative government programs (non-technical) and digital government solutions (technology-driven), implemented in the last three years (between January 1, 2007 and December 31, 2010).
 
Beginning in 2006, the Innovative Alabama Governments Awards have honored select recipients for their use of new and innovative methods to help Alabama state, county and local governments reach new levels of efficiency and responsiveness.
